Why does my artwork look blurry?
Blurry or pixelated prints are almost always caused by the quality or resolution of the artwork that was uploaded. While we print your design as provided, we cannot add detail or increase the quality of a low-resolution image.
Common Reasons Your Artwork Looks Blurry
- The image resolution is too low. Small images must be enlarged to fit the print area, which causes them to lose quality.
- The artwork was downloaded from social media or a website. Images from Facebook, Instagram, or other websites are often compressed and may not be suitable for printing.
- A screenshot was used. Screenshots typically have a much lower resolution than the original artwork.
- The image has been enlarged beyond its original size. Scaling up an image does not add detail—it only stretches the existing pixels.
How to Prevent Blurry Prints
- Upload artwork at 300 DPI whenever possible.
- Use the recommended print dimensions for the product you're creating.
- Start with the highest-quality version of your artwork.
- Use PNG files for graphics, logos, and designs with text, or a high-quality JPG for photographs.
- Avoid using images downloaded from social media or screenshots.
Will teelaunch Fix My Image?
No. We print the artwork exactly as it is uploaded. We do not increase image resolution, sharpen blurry images, or make edits before printing.
How Can I Check My Artwork?
When creating your product, review the print preview carefully. If your image appears blurry, pixelated, or has a low-quality warning, we recommend replacing it with a higher-resolution file before submitting your order.
Tip: If you're unsure whether your artwork is high enough quality, it's always best to upload the original design file rather than a downloaded or resized copy.
