A package may occasionally be returned to sender (RTS) instead of being delivered to the customer.
When this happens, the carrier sends the package back to the originating facility or return address rather than completing the delivery.
Common reasons include:
The customer may have entered an incomplete or incorrect address during checkout.
The carrier was unable to locate or verify the delivery address.
The carrier attempted delivery multiple times but was unable to complete it.
The recipient declined to accept the package.
The package was held for pickup but was never collected by the recipient.
Once a package begins the return process, the carrier controls the shipment and delivery can no longer be redirected in most cases.
The return process may take several days or weeks depending on the carrier and destination.
Shipping costs are generally non-refundable once a package has been shipped.
Additional shipping charges may apply if the order needs to be reshipped after it has been returned.
In many cases, yes.
Once the returned package has been received and processed, reshipment options can be reviewed. The customer may be required to provide a corrected shipping address before a replacement shipment can be arranged.
